8-Day High End Tanzania Experience

Day 1 – Arrival Tanzania
Upon arrival in Tanzania (Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport) your private driver/guide will pick you up and bring you to the luxury Arusha Coffee Lodge in Arusha for overnight stay.

Day 2 – Unwind in Arusha
After a long journey we advise you to have a resting day before you go on safari. Arusha Coffee Lodge is the perfect place to relax. This day is at your own leisure.

Day 3 – Tarangire NP
Your safari begins. You will leave Arusha towards Tarangire NP, about 1.5 hours drive. In this park you will find large herds of elephants near the Tarangire river, or already digging into underground streams elsewhere in the park. You will also see  large herds of migratory animals like wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, and gazelle. At the end of the afternoon you will leave the park and stay overnight just outside the park at Tarangire Treetops. The luxuriously furnished rooms are built between the tops of the trees.

Day 4 – Tarangire NP
Another full day in Tarangire NP. You will have lunch in the park. At the end of the afternoon you will return to Tarangire Treetops. If you are lucky big elephants will approach close to the lodge to visit the drinking pool.

Day 5 – Tarangire NP – Maasai Boma – Karatu
Early game drive in Tarangire NP. Before lunch you will leave the park and drive to the village Mto wa Mbu. On your way you will visit an authentic Maasai boma (Maasai village). In Mto wa Mbu you will meet with the locals (this place has a representation of 126 different tribes) and you can visit a banana plantation (not included). At the end of the day you drive to Karatu where you overnight at The Manor at Ngorongoro with a splendid view towards the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti NP
You will leave after an early breakfast for a game drive into the crater. It is also known as eight World wonder is absolutely a unique. You will descend 610 meters into the crater. Highlight is the rare black Rhino, which is one of the so called “big five” and only found here. After a maximum allowed stay of 6 hours in the crater you will start your journey Serengeti NP for overnight at Serengeti Migration Camp for the ultimate “Out of Africa” experience.

Day 7 – Serengeti NP
Full day game drive in Serengeti NP where you will look for the great migration but also for predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah. You have lunch in the park. At the end of the day you return to Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp for a nice sundowner.

Day 8 – Departure 
Your safari has come to an end. After breakfast your private driver/guide will bring you to the nearby Lobo Airstrip for your domestic flight to Arusha Airport. In Arusha we will provide you a taxi to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Of course this does not have to mean the end of your Ajabu Adventure! If you wish we can offer you a nice beach holiday to Zanzibar, Pemba or the unspoiled Swahili Coast.
